2. Personal data we may process

ECOTRAP may process the following categories of personal data, depending on how the user uses the website:

• Professional or business data related to crops, farms, cooperatives, plant-health associations (ADVs), agricultural holdings, public bodies or pilot projects, when provided by the user.

• Data derived from the use of cookies or similar technologies, under the terms set out in the Cookie Policy.

ECOTRAP does not generally request specially protected data. Users must refrain from providing data relating to health, ideology, religion, trade union membership, sexual orientation, biometric data, genetic data or other special categories, unless strictly necessary and with an adequate legal basis.

Personal data may be processed for the following purposes:

• Handling information or contact requests: managing enquiries, communications, demo requests, business meetings, collaboration proposals or requests sent via forms, email or other enabled channels.
• Managing pre-contractual or contractual relationships: preparing proposals, quotes, collaboration agreements, pilot trials, monitoring services, licences, platform access, innovation projects, and relationships with clients, suppliers, partners or public bodies.
• Sending informative or commercial communications: about ECOTRAP, news, activities, demos, pilots, events, technical content, articles, solutions or services, provided there is a valid legal basis and the user can object or unsubscribe.
• Improving the website and user experience: analysing website usage, measuring performance, and improving content, navigation, security, usability and features.
• Complying with legal obligations: tax, commercial, administrative, accounting, regulatory, security, data-protection or requirements from competent authorities.
• Security and prevention of misuse: detecting, preventing or responding to security incidents, unauthorised access, or fraudulent, abusive or unlawful use of the website.

The legal basis for processing depends on each purpose:

Users guarantee that the data provided is truthful, accurate, complete and up to date. Users will be liable for any damage or loss resulting from providing false, inaccurate or unauthorised third-party data.

If a user provides personal data belonging to third parties, they declare that they have sufficient authorisation to do so and undertake to inform those third parties of the content of this Privacy Policy.

ECOTRAP will apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

However, no system connected to the Internet can guarantee absolute security. Users must also act diligently when using their devices, passwords and communications.

13. Processing related to digital services, sensors or platforms

Where ECOTRAP provides services linked to sensorised traps, web platforms, applications, field imagery, geolocation, agronomic data, capture data, microclimate data or artificial-intelligence models, specific processing conditions may be further regulated in contracts, service agreements, data-protection annexes or particular terms.

Where such data allows a natural person to be identified directly or indirectly, it will be processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

ECOTRAP may amend this Privacy Policy to adapt it to regulatory, technical, organisational or service-related changes. The version in force will be the one published on the website at any given time.
